About the Author

Hi there! I'm Marissa,  the author behind Little Lovebug Publishing. I'm thrilled you are here!

Before I started writing books, I spent years in the classroom and I loved creating resources and lessons that helped my students learn, grow and believe in themselves. That same passion for sparking imagination and joy in young minds is what led me to start writing stories of my own.

I live in Washington, D.C. with my husband, daughter, and corgi. When I’m not busy writing stories, you can usually find me in the kitchen whipping up something sweet (cupcakes are a favorite!) or off on an adventure with my family, exploring new places around the country and world. Whether I’m trying a new treat or discovering somewhere magical, I love bringing a little sprinkle of that joy and wonder into the stories I write!
